Not to get all spiritual, but they say that the energy you put out into the universe attracts similar energy back to you. That must be the reason that Ruby and Tanner are surrounded by so much love. Having spent the last 4 days with them, the overwhelming memory for me is how often and how easily the both smile. I loved every minute of this shoot.
Looking through all the footage in putting together this next day edit, there is actually a singular moment that really struck me. It is not even half a second. When Ruby is leaning against a pillar at the Legislative building and Tanner comes up beside her to give her a kiss on the cheek, she closes her eyes for a tiny moment. For me, time slows down in that instant and, quite beside the fact that it's a wedding day and they have 4 cameras pointed at them, this is just a couple who dig the hell out of each other, sharing a moment and loving just being near each other. That's the kind of love that lasts a lifetime.
Hands down, best food I've ever had at a wedding too. In fact, every vendor that was a part of this wedding was just perfect. It was a pleasure to finally get to work with the photographer Trevor Brucki after all these years. I have included some of my favourite still frames in this post, but head over to Trevor's blog here to see the photos.
