Ruby & Tanner - A Winnipeg Wedding Movie

I smiled the whole way through this edit. It was hands down the funniest wedding ceremony I have ever filmed!

The whole week was a well oiled machine. Not a hair was out of place and everybody was so warm and welcoming. I hope I captured that in the feature film. It's a long one. Just over 30 minutes, but there was too much amazing footage to leave any more on the editing room floor. (Figuratively speaking).

The soundtrack for this one is a bit different from some of my other work. The couple had a musician (singer/songwriter) friend who performed at the second ceremony and reception. He also graciously sent me some of his original music to use. Mandippal Jadhu is his name and you should immediately go to his website here and buy his album.

No, wait... first watch the movie and then go!

And here are a bunch of stills of some of my favourite images from the film...

Cinematic Feature - Suzanne & Geoff

You've never met a nicer couple. Even on what can be the most stressful day of a lot of people's lives, they were welcoming, patient and an absolute pleasure to be around. The respect and love Suzanne and Geoff have for each other is infectious. You can't spend an hour with them and not walk away wanting to be a better partner to your significant other.

It's days like these that make me love this part of what I get to call my job. I hope I get to be there to shoot their 50th anniversary!

We shot both cinema and stills for this beautiful wedding. Enjoy the movie and images. We, and the couple would love you to comment and share the day. Links below!

Cinematic Feature Film - Sarah & BJ

One of the best venues in Winnipeg is Terrace 55 in Assiniboine park. They have a beautiful ceremony location with a peaceful fountain in the middle and the restaurant has a massive glass alcove that lets in the most amazing natural light. Definitely one of my top 5 spots to shoot a wedding.

It was a breezy day. Both in the climatological sense and in the general atmosphere. Going over all this footage in the edit suite I was overwhelmed with a sense of peacefulness and calm that comes from Sarah and BJ's easygoing nature. They are perfect for each other. Definitely the highlight of the day, for me at least, was BJ's Dad's speech. I spluttered my coffee over the keyboard a couple of times laughing at that one!

Anyway... here is the movie and below that are some still frames of my favourite moments...
