Jasreen and Jasvir - Wedding Photos and Video

Some people just exude a feeling of effortless grace and charm. Jasreen and Jasvir are both like that. You can't take a bad photo of either of them. Even after 5 days of partying... HARD... they still looked bright and breezy at the reception and were a pleasure to be around all week.

We did both photo and video coverage for this fantastic couple. Here's their cinematic feature film and below are some of my personal faves in the photo department.

Sherelle & Oliver

I just had the pleasure of dropping off Sherelle and Oliver's finished movie at their new house in a new development in Winnipeg yesterday. I love new beginnings. A fresh start. The first step on a long journey.

Oliver and Sherelle had lived across the street from each other for ages. They got together when Sherelle needed some help with her math skills. (Being an artist myself, I can totally relate!). Oliver pointed her in the right direction and clearly charmed his way into her heart!

When I shoot a wedding I get a unique window into people's family life and their relationships. The overwhelming impression from both families and also from Sherelle and Oliver, was a warmth and mutual respect. These are people who love life and love each other. At least, that's how it feels to be around them! Why don't you watch this and see what I mean...

Manpreet & Komal - Next Day Edit

Manpreet & Komal - Next Day Edit

It's no secret that East Indian weddings are my favourite. It's the colours, the different traditions and the scale of the receptions that provide so much opportunity for us to be creative film makers. It also helps when the couple is as wonderful as Manpreet and Komal were all week.

The NDE (Next day Edit) is just a little taste of all the events that take place during the week. For this edit, I found it really difficult to keep it short. At 9 minutes, it's still pretty long for this type of edit but I could have made it 15 minutes with all the fantastic footage that came in from all my different shooters. I only wish I could show you guys the footage we captured at the reception now too. (You're just going to have to wait for the the cinematic feature film!). Let me just say,  Events by Emma knocked it out of the park. It was, in a word, breathtaking.

So, without further ado:

Lana & Sean - Cinematic Feature

Lana & Sean - Cinematic Feature

Hand drawn notes with the gift for each grooms-man. Vera Wang dress and Jimmy Choo shoes. The fort Garry ballroom looking resplendent in the year's most elegant colours. There was an enormous amount of thought and attention to detail that went into this wedding celebration. And what a great couple Lana and Sean make too.

My favourite parts of the day had to be the father of the Bride's speech and the live band playing as every single person in the room was in that big circle on the dance floor. I also love the open emotion that both Sean and his father-in-law-to-be showed at the first look in the hotel. Priceless. It's those real moments of joy that are the highlight of my day.

I'll let the cinematic feature tell you the rest of the story...

Free Wedding Video

Kassandra and Ben won a free wedding video from us in the Wonderful Wedding Show competition. I believe they had to chase all around the city in a wedding dress to take part in the competition. What I remember from that day was that they left the rest of the field in the dust (well, technically the snow: It was in the Winter). They won by a mile. The group of vendors that they got free stuff from was mind bendingly awesome too. You can see some of them in the short cinematic feature we produced...
