Stephanie & Ian - A Gimli Wedding

Stephanie & Ian - A Gimli Wedding

OK, I admit it. Sometimes this job is more fun than actual work. When you have a couple who are this much fun to be around, and a bunch of friends who put the "party" in wedding party... the results speak for themselves.

Stephanie and Ian wrote their own vows. I love this because it's a window into who they are as people and as a couple. And Jeanette Bridget put together a fantastic ceremony that incorporated both the Jewish and Viking elements just beautifully. But the thing I found most touching about this whole experience was the letter Steph's mom wrote and kept with her wedding dress (which Steph ultimately ended up not wearing) when her daughter was just 2. Just a perfect treasure to find on your wedding day for a young bride about to take the leap of faith. This should be a thing. If you're a past, present or future bride with a daughter, get on that right now!

But first watch this video...

Taylor and G - Silver Beach Wedding Video

It was touch and go there for most of the morning. The rain threatened to move the ceremony indoors, but as the last second it cleared a little and we definitely made the most of it. There is nothing quite like a ceremony at the water's edge... especially when the Groom arrives by pontoon boat!

Taylor and G are such a great couple. They love tattoos, they love having a good time and most of all they clearly love each other! With a little one on the way in the new year, we are wishing you guys nothing but blue skies and great memories. (And make sure you get as much sleep as you can between now and Feb!)

Jillian & Mike - A Winter Winnipeg Wedding

There are some couples who just DIG each other. Jillian and Mike are one of those couples. When you spend any more than a couple of minutes with them, either individually, or together, you just start feeling better about things.  They have what I call an effervescent love.

From the surprise proposal (shot by the Bombers guys, who Mike was playing for at the time) to the final carriage ride, you just can't help feeling inspired by the whole experience. It's impossible to pick favorites from all the wedding stories we have told over the years, but this one is definitely up there with the best!

Thanks so much to both families for being awesome.

And especially thanks to all the great vendors who made up our wedding dream team.

Jasreen and Jasvir - Wedding Photos and Video

Some people just exude a feeling of effortless grace and charm. Jasreen and Jasvir are both like that. You can't take a bad photo of either of them. Even after 5 days of partying... HARD... they still looked bright and breezy at the reception and were a pleasure to be around all week.

We did both photo and video coverage for this fantastic couple. Here's their cinematic feature film and below are some of my personal faves in the photo department.

Aynsley & Bryan - Trailer

From first look to bouquet toss we had a blast filming this wedding. It was a scorching hot day... which was appropriate for such a scorching hot bride and dashing groom! I can't wait to get working on the feature edit. There is so much great footage there and so many great moments that just couldn't fit into a movie trailer.
